“I only went out for a walk, and finally concluded to stay out till sundown, for going out, I found, was really going in.”

John Muir

Private Retreating

Stepping away from living in automatic pilot and dealing with daily pressures is not a selfish act but rather the wisest gift that any human can commit to.

Retreating to a historic venue in wonderful East Lothian serves not only your physical longing but also the desire to be close to the most stunning nature in Scotland. It is a strange paradox that this land is the birthplace of two of the most inspirational Scots that lived in the 19th Century. John Muir lived as a boy on the East Lothian beaches, in fields and hedgerows discovering the magical life in rock pools and farmland.

Tread in his footsteps by choosing to spend some special time for yourself. Dorothy trained as a Retreat Coach over 10 years ago so that she could offer the unique safety and discovery that only a personal retreat can create.

Co-design with Dorothy and have a truly enlightening trip to Scotland where finding yourself is the gift!

Coaching, mindful activities and a quiet reflective space for rest, renewal and recovery.

Threads of your Tapestry

Peace and connection, often found in Nature then allows for reflection and clarity of thought. The need to slow the busy mind and attend to the physical body is fundamental to your retreat time.
